POLICY 

Thank you for your interest in our small-owened braiding studio.



Please make sure to read through these guidelines!
 


1.PAYMENT METHOD

Now Accepting Zelle, Apple Pay or Cash ONLY!

$25-$50 non-refundable deposit is required. It will go towards service amount and will secure your appointment. The remaining will be due in person and paid through your prefer payment method.

NO SHOW WILL RESULT IN 100% FULL BALANCE OF YOUR APPOINTMENT fee. A valid credit card is required to hold your appointment. By booking this service Braids by Marilyn has the right to charge the cad on file for any (cancellation fee, no show fee).


2. HAIR

Hair is only included on selected styles listed on website. If you want the hair to be provided for desired styles especially human hair braids, it'll be an additional cost depending on the hairstyle and hair bundles. *please look at the price list*

 

You can also provide your own hair. It must be Pre-stretched Expressions or Freestress. 

Hair must be freshly WASHED, DRY and detangled. For best results, moisturize your hair by using a leave-in-conditioner. Using a good leave-in-conditioner will help lock and retain moisture while having your protective style.

Keep in mind that shedding after the braid removal is normal. Braids by Marilyn is NOT responsible for shedding or excess shedding. Please be aware that Hot water is used to seal ends.



*Product Used on Client for Styling: Pure Natural Neat Gel or Perfect gel *

By booking this appointment you agree that Braids by Marilyn use styling products, such as gel, mousse, edge control, leave-in conditioner etc. You also agree the act of detangling, brushing, combing, and the use of beauty tools and hot water to seal ends.

These conditioning gel are the best in the market for braiding and should not be damaging. However, Braids by Marilyn is NOT responsible for how your scalp or hair may reacts to this product. Please notify us if you do not want this product used for styling. In this case, Client must bring own styling product.

We only use Pre-stretched, non-itch, Hypoallergenic hair. 

3. ALLERGIES

Braids by Marilyn is NOT responsible for any allergies due to synthetic hair or styling product.

 

Please inform us of any prior hair product allergies or natural ingredients.


4. HEALTH AND SAFETY PRACTICES

•  Must wear a FACE-MASK/COVERING or no service will be provided!
•  Clients who may be experiencing COVID-related symptoms MUST reschedule.
•  Clients will be asked to sanitize hands with provided hand sanitizer
•  Clients will be asked to wear provided shoe covers.
•  Seats and all combs, brushes, and supplies will be sanitized between clients. 
•  Camera system is installed and will be recording for safety purposes.

5. APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION

You MUST confirm appointment a day prior to the scheduled appointment, no later than 1 pm.


6. NO REFUNDS

All payments are final. No refunds! 


7. LATE FEE

Clients are given a 20-minute grace period. There will be a $10 fee for 20 minutes of being late. Late fees will increase after 20 minutes. 

8. TWISTS

$50 non-refundable deposit for twists if you want the hair to be provided.

Passion twists is not a long-lasting hairstyle in comparison to braids. This is because the client’s hair is more exposed and the synthetic hair used for this style is silkier than braiding hair. The duration of this style is SHORTER, and it all depends on one's hair texture. This style can last 1-3 weeks or 3-8 weeks depending on your hair texture and how you maintance the style. 

For non-coily hair, we recommend crochet passion twists or the rubber-band method. 

Please consider this before booking!

Braids by Marilyn is NOT responsible for styles after 24 hours. 

9. CANCELLATION POLICY 

After booking, clients must message me through Instagram for a consultation. I have the right to cancel any appointments if there is no deposit and based on the message response of the client after consultation. I am currently taking IG referrals. 

10. SMALL BUSINESS

This is a Home-based business. Therefore, I ask that you be respectful and cordial. NO other person or children allowed to your appointment. EXCEPT, parents or guardian of a minor who is the CLIENT.
